Small price to pay for security of key data. My ironkey works without a hitch and contrary to the another comment here I've been happy with their support. I haven't seen anything else in the market that comes close to it. btw I use truecrypt for encrypting data that stays on my PC but a key file residing on the ironkey is required to gain access.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00947258577205262763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4510394351870137228.post-85311906502440080492008-07-28T20:39:00.000-04:002008-07-28T20:39:00.000-04:00Don't buy one of these, or if you do don't change ...Don't buy one of these, or if you do don't change the password back to a previous password - after I did this I couldn't unlock mine, even when using the recover password function and their support. Eventually it self destructed and they won't replace it. Finally why would they use a cap on the end, it falls off all the time.
Don't buy one and when you decide not to - please email support@ironkey.com stating you didn't buy one because of case number - 00023997

they also just dropped my support requests also, very poorNeil Capelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12307024355572219683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4510394351870137228.post-33969820875016335142008-02-20T11:43:00.000-05:002008-02-20T11:43:00.000-05:00TrueCrypt is very good, however you must have Admi...TrueCrypt is very good, however you must have Admin access to the computer you are plugged into. This doesn't fly in corporate or government environments that "lock down" the PCs. It that case, a hardware-only solution is the only choice.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4510394351870137228.post-72047495114816390772008-02-14T06:51:00.000-05:002008-02-14T06:51:00.000-05:00The iron key rocks on PC's but is not available on...The iron key rocks on PC's but is not available on Mac's as yet, unfortunately.Mark Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02435118633344162093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4510394351870137228.post-48224158303721729162007-11-05T16:13:00.000-05:002007-11-05T16:13:00.000-05:00Great article! Securitywise, you can do the same thing with Truecrypt for less than $40:

http://www.bauer-power.net/2007/11/seriouslywhy-pay-more.htmlEl DiPablohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14512110816007529233noreply@blogger.com
